City Finances
As a responsible council member, I believe in the importance of maintaining a balanced budget for the city of Beaumont without having to rely on reserves or increasing taxes. It is crucial to prioritize the careful management of our city's finances to ensure a stable and prosperous future for all residents.
Transparency
As your council member, I understand the importance of transparency when it comes to public funds. That's why I took the initiative to create a new CFD/Mello Roos Tax Search tool that provides transparency of your property taxes. Wise Spending
I am dedicated to ensuring that our city's funds are spent wisely to promote growth and development of our community. I will prioritize efficient and effective spending while always keeping the best interests of our citizens in mind.
Annexation
Residential housing is a drain on city services and city finances due to a poor annexation agreement with the county of Riverside therefore I am not in favor of annexing additional land to the city of Beaumont for residential growth. I will continue to advocate for a new agreement with the county and will continue promoting growth in other areas such as commercial, retail & industrial which tend to provide the city with revenue above the required cost of city services.
Committee Member
As a council member, I have gained valuable insights into the city's finances through my service on the finance and audit committee. This experience has allowed me to better understand the complexities of the city's financial situation and to serve my constituents more effectively.
